Am I making a mistake by having my Jellyfin server proxied through nginx? The other service I set up did need to be public so I just copied the same thing when I set up Jellyfin but is that a liability even with a password to access?
Yeah, free tier only lets you have 3 total calendars and there is no color coding available so it’s limited compared to Google which is what I was leaving. But export/import was seamless and it seems a good stepping stone to replace the one-click cloud megacorp offerings. Your stack seems perfect for when I have the time to get Nextcloud going.
I haven’t stepped up to using Nextcloud or my own hosted server, so I’m just using Proton Calendar. The free version is pretty limited though.
Yep this was my experience as well
Great to see. It’s important for the “support” and “administrative” staff of these companies to also be unionized, not just the writers and artists. There seems to be growing support for grassroots industrial unionism for workers who don’t necessarily all do the same job. This is how white-collar or “grey-collar” workers can best organize. You don’t need to do the same daily work as your coworker to organize for better pay and benefits!
This article does almost seem written to downplay the book’s most damaging claims. They buried the Myanmar story at the end and the detailed account the author gave to the carelessness with which the execs treated the riots and violence. Another anecdote missing from this article is how they are pushing weight loss and beauty ads to teen girls right when they delete a recently taken selfie and how execs responded when this was brought up. Not that that is news exactly as we already know Meta does that sort of thing
