I’m a squirrel. The german word for squirrel is Eichhörnchen, which is hard to pronounce for english speakers. The english word for Eichhörnchen is squirrel, which is hard to pronounce for german speakers. And I think that’s beautiful :)

26·20 days agoYou could run a PeerTube instance to mirror other people’s videos. The more mirrors, the more decentralized it gets. But it takes some manual curation of videos or instances you want to mirror.

9·27 days agoKeep in mind, too, that you can add as much or as little data as you want. If you want to map the species name of every tree, feel free; if you want to trace over a building and just call it a “building” with no other details, that’s helpful too. So don’t get intimidated; it’s about what you can do, not what you can’t.
Thanks for this! I wanted to add a public ping pong table a couple weeks ago but got overwhelmed by all the data fields in Vespucci. I didn’t want to submit an incomplete dataset, but couldn’t figure out which additional fields are needed. Next time I’ll just submit it.
