• OS: Debian 13
  • WM: WindowMaker
  • Dockapps: wmamixer, wmusic, wmweather, wmtop, wmmon (displaying memory and swap), wmmon (displaying cpu), wmnd, wmitime
  • Other apps: audacious, feh, urxvt

Always loved the look of WindowMaker and I always wanted to make themes for it. Also, it’s my first time making themes for WindowMaker so any criticism is appreciated. Feel free to check out the git repo for more themes.

I loved windowmaker back in the day. Rock stable, fast and slick built-in widgets.

    And that memory usage ❤️

I switched my main desktop from Windows to Linux a few months back. I’ve been running KDE, but it just doesn’t feel right. I recently tried IceWM with the Motif theme and it’s much more comfortable. I was a Unix admin in the '90’s and '00’s.

If I can find an audio mixer applet that works (volumeicon does not like my system for some reason…) and figure out how to stop the screen blanking when Firefox is playing a video I think I’ll make the change permanent.

I tried running it, but apps that depend on the desktop environment for open/save dialogs (especially ones sandboxed in AppImages/Flatpak) didn’t work. Is there a solution?

I personally don’t use Flatpak that often so I’ve never encountered such issues. Check if you have xdg-desktop-portal installed.
