Ahhh a fellow American I see.
Justice is “just us” and is exclusively meant to maximize misery.
Just a below average idiot that mostly comments for one of 3 reasons:
Catharsis, expressing exasperation over the general state of things.
Looking to make someone laugh.
Self deprecation.
Ahhh a fellow American I see.
Justice is “just us” and is exclusively meant to maximize misery.
The peasants shared a common version of reality and had a king living within a distance they could reach with a guillotine. We do not live in a comparable world unfortunately. We have decentralized kings, a system that encourages their replication, and propaganda networks that create “reality” to keep us separated :(
Canada and the UK and Japan and dozens of other countries are all doing it better.
Propaganda has that one covered:
“There are people in Canada that wait months and months to see a doctor for serious problems!”
It’s the most common thing I hear when I discuss healthcare with anyone… “But the waittttssss!”
Oh and don’t look behind the curtain, it’s definitely not Musk or someone similar who owns the consultant companies they happen to use federal funds on, nor do they just so happened to be big donors to Our Lord and Savior Trump™
No no no, that would be corruption to the core and we all know the incoming administration is comprised of all the Paragons of Virtue™ our society has to offer.
That was really a great read thanks for sharing that!
It was absolutely hilarious to get to the end not entirely realizing it and reading “You can pre-order Jason “David Wong” Pargin’s book Zoey Punches the Future in the Dick …” Lol
The future definitely deserves to be punched in the dick though.
There was really only one comment in here that I think addressed what I believe to be the real issue: propaganda works. Especially when people are ignorant to how government works and have siloed themselves into realities created by their chosen propaganda outlets, refusing to look outside of them or to acknowledge their veracity.
Republicans can deny aid by the Republican speaker of the house not calling an emergency session and then Trump and Fox News can blame Biden for something he has no control over. Something similar is happening with DeSantis. I imagine the recent news about Florida being potentially a toss up state has them a bit worried so they’re pushing whatever angle they can to attack Democrats.
As to why they would do this at all, I think that’s kind of obvious. Power and money. The Republican party have pretty much completed their takeover of the courts and the heritage foundation can institute their psychotic wishlist (project 2025) without resistance. Winning this election means they win indefinitely.
“When asked for further comment Microsoft fucknuts replied with: It’s the best part of being a monopoly in the PC market. Don’t like what we’re doing? Where’s the average user going to go, Linux? BWAHAHAHAHA! Hey normies, get fucked and feed my bank account! He then spat on the reporter and gave a small child the middle finger.”
I believe that’s the fallout from the Citizens United ruling. There are also “Dark money” PACs that are called as such because they can keep the contributions anonymous, but these PACs are allowed to donate unlimited funds to the campaign as long as there’s no “coordination” between the PAC and the candidate…
Our government is for sale.
People are such scumbags on Amazon. If you aren’t paying attention and just quickly go to rebuy something like deodorant (like I just did) you can end up spending over $50 for 2 sticks… I had to actually go to the manufacturers page to find what I was looking for as I guess they changed packaging and all the assholes are charging insane prices for the “old style” package.
A humorous follow up response would be “sure, here’s another question: How the hell did they think you were ready to be utilized?”
The only correct answer: “I can answer that for you! The reason they thought I was ready to be utilized by the general public is because money!”
Pretty much. These platforms right wingers take over are propaganda dissemination devices, not entirely “for profit” enterprises anymore.
The company I work for doesn’t advertise, we live and die by our reputation.
Also: ship it, let the customer complain if they find it.
…ffs
drinks the blood.
NOW I HAVE YOUR WATER!!
I’ve been on dating sites for over 10 years now. The most “likes” I’ve ever had was 17.
Not even matching. That number is like 6 over 10 years…
I’m quite literally an absolute joke of a human though. I’m the exact person people joke about as being the worst kind of person: I’m a (guy) homebody who likes to smoke, play videogames, and garden. I’m fit but not muscular, short, balding, and not a fan of dogs or travel (way too expensive). I’m literally worse than Hitler to almost all women.
Unfortunately the only people who have ever swiped on me except for those 6 I mentioned look like honey booboos mom, have kids, and dogs.
My friend really needs to learn about this. He works for Intel and does some really involved stuff, I on the other hand am a moronic jackass factory worker.
No friend, I haven’t the slightest idea what you’re trying to tell me you did if you keep using technical terms.
I can’t wait for this to spread to unrelated areas!
Supermarkets maximizing profit: put ads everywhere and hide the most commonly bought foods!
Gas stations maximizing profits: unskippable ads on all pumps, plus the pump stops halfway to make you watch another ad.
Dating apps: oh… They already killed themselves. Swipe swipe swipe swipe. Hide messages. Hide likes. Reduse exposure to profile unless paid member.
I hate this future.
I think it’s probably better to have taken action as you’ve learned a lot. People like the person you replied to and myself “know” our limitations but then we don’t do anything so you’re 15 years more advanced in your knowledge and I’m 15 years stagnant no better than I was from the start.
Yep! The hitchhikers books are so much fun lol
I still think one of my favorite lines is “the ships hung in the sky in much the same way that bricks don’t.”
“It’s also worth noting that in many instances they’re renaming the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) to strip the word “equity” out. Because, you know, racist kakistocracy.”
So it will be BAD, fitting…
