Did you not read the part about n++ not changing/rotating credentials? I think there’s enough blame to go around.

4·2 months agoOne of the benefits when I used to use RSS was that the feed could be updated and cached so articles could be read when you don’t have an active Internet connection. Not as big of a deal these days, but a decade ago cell networks were spottier and free Wi-Fi wasn’t always available.
I always loved how pulse layed out each of the feeds and showed the headline and first image of the article.

1·3 months agoeBay has plenty of x86/x64 computers that don’t technically support Windows 11. An old Lenovo desktop/sff with a 7th gen i7 could be a pretty cheap entry point. 8th Gen and up will be more expensive since they can still run windows 11

Couldn’t you write in the text editor then copy/paste into terminal without saving? (Who needs documentation anyway)

That actually looks promising. Can’t tell if I’ll have to faf about with tvheadend, or if they’ve baked it in yet, but it sounds like a good project for this weekend
Genuine question:
What’s the alternative for recording live tv with hdhomerun or hauppage atsc cards with a tv guide?

3·6 months agoI add an extra row and column of apps on the home screen, and make the icons bigger so there’s less space between. And bump up the text size since my eyes are getting older.

Back when Wi-Fi N was new, I was able to use a Wi-Fi router flashed with ddwrt to accomplish something similar.
I was able to put the wap in receiver mode, so it acted like a Wi-Fi dongle. When connected to the Wi-Fi network it would act as a switch on the built in ports. I can’t remember for certain, but I think everything was still on the same subnet.
It’s very rare to have a real tree branch merge back into the trunk.
Not rare, but uncommon. Not sure if there’s a Lemmy equivalent but r/treessuckingonthings shows trunks absorbing all sorts of things including branches
Just to save the heartache, acetone vapor does not work with pla.

1·8 months agoCouple years ago I wouldn’t have argued, but with graphics cards ballooning to 3+ slots, you have to be more careful about which slots on the motherboard have full enough lanes to support your cards. And you have to make sure your motherboard has the full x16 slot in the highest position which is less common on boards with m.2. otherwise there isn’t room for expansion cards

2011 means it’s probably DDR3, which is still fairly affordable
