mRemoteNG has always been my go-to. Supports multiple remote protocols, though I’ve typically only used it for SSH and RDP. Tabbed interface, save a list of endpoints with the connections configs, etc. SSH just runs an instance of putty within the program, so it’s pretty straightforward.
I think it’s more appropriate to say that internet searches in general had been getting worse over the last several years, but it just so happened to be the case that your answer could likely be found in a reddit thread.
When it comes to Samsung, look at their “Pro” TVs, which are intended for businesses to use for digital signage. I’ve never had to deal with any of the very few smart features it has popping up or annoying me in any way.
I’m no expert on picture quality but it looks damned good to me, and it’s supposedly built to run 24/7 and not burn out since as said it’s intended for digital signage.
