I saw that thread, I think. Or the same person in another thread talking about the same thing.

I don’t think you get how dxvk and wine work.
Clearly, I don’t use Linux. I should have specified that it was an example of the type of comment I see rather than the absolute reality of it. My point was that there’s always a something that the loudest proponents of linux don’t mention simply because they took care of it so long ago that they forgot or its so routine to them they fail to mention it.
I also blame Linux Bros for promising the moon and with no issues
This is the one that I see the most when I’m in Linux communities. The guy that knows all of the ins and outs of the software and the hardware and has no problems, telling the person that only has ever used windows that it all just works no matter what. “ALL of your games will work right away AND run better than windows ever did.” but they fail to mention that all they play are games that had good linux support or something.
Linux users and Fromsoft fanboys seem to be cut from the same cloth “Just get gud.”
God forbid anyone on Lemmy spends money on content they consume daily.
Yeah, I’ll let you know when anyone I watch even considers giving peertube a moment of consideration.
Evil Uno hits the floor wailing.
I’m on 11 home. :/
I’m in the US and have never ran into half of the stuff people say MS forces on them on a daily basis.
Using a different example, would “apple pie recipe” be less complex of a search than “What do I need to cook an apple pie and how do I do it?”
Edit - As far as a search engine cares.
I don’t know what pissed me off more, watching my mom write a book into the google search bar because she refuses to just use the key words or the fact that it gave her the exact info she wanted immediately despite being somewhat niche.
Deleted my reddit account a while ago. Don’t really use lemmy as much as I used to use reddit, but I see that as a good thing. the quality of the use I get is a lot better here too.
I think I was so focused on making sure to capitalize correctly that I got scrambled.
My Favorite Is People That Capitalize The First Word Letter Of Every Letter Word For No Reason.
I can’t bring myself to try online dating, my friend that hit the jackpot and ended up marrying the first girl he went on a date with through whatever app he used tells me it works, as if his experience is absolute, but I hear about too many people getting ghosted by shallow dates to want to try. My self esteem couldn’t take it.
After we run out of people, they start adding cats & dogs.
IIRC, his justification was something to the effect of, even if the data presented is incorrect the conclusions were reached with the right data, so the conclusion wouldn’t change.
But how do we know for sure they used the right data for their conclusion? If they can’t take the time to fix issues during the edit, how do we know that the entire process isn’t flawed?
He thinks hes got it figured out because he knows something we don’t know, but if we are to trust him, WE NEED TO KNOW.
I’ve though about it, I might just wait until I need to upgrade my platform and therefore need to reinstall anyway. Does Intel vs AMD and Nvidia vs AMD even really matter anymore btw?
I’m in the process of getting my hands on a cheap laptop to at least use Linux so the eventual transition is easier, though.
That’s exact opposite of my experience with it.
