My videos I like are usually history, science, engineering with stand up and Scott the woz thrown in there so the shorts and long format go well together and my music tastes are jam bands so I don’t mind 3-6 hour youtube videos of live performances being recommended. For my use case it works very well… sorry it doesn’t seem to vibe with you

When I read the article basically every other social platform has struck licensing deals with record companies because it adds monetary value to their sites… they aren’t trying to stop content creators they are trying to get a piece of the money pie Facebook, youtube and twitch make off of content that’s uploaded… I don’t know if it would have further reaching consequences but Twitter was in the middle of a deal when Elon took over and somehow this got pushed to the side and the record companies are now suing twitter…
