Hello! That’s my main mbin account, my alt is @Fitik, I also have a furry/personal account at @fitik
I’m just a regular person from Israel🇮🇱, a queer, and a #Fediverse enthusiast! I’m a liberal
I don’t post much stuff, but when I do I usually post about #tech because I’ve mostly given up on trying to argue on there
Okay, but all other examples were just slang too, so my point still stands
I’m gen Z, pretty much all Zoomers I chat with use slang (and part of it comes from AAVE, this is just how slang develops, it often comes from marginalized groups), I can’t believe some people actually think this is enough to cancel someone for
If a person would write it somewhere other than Fedi, people would probably just assume that you’re joking or making fun of a term cultural appropriation, but oh well
“Used AAVE as slang” is gonna get ya cancelled now? Lol, this is absurd, if those are the reasons, using them you can cancel 80% of young folk, y’all are crazy
This is kinda sad tho, that while racism and real bigots exists, y’all waste your time cancelling people for using “y’all”
BTW, you can follow this channel directly from here at !thelinuxexperiment_channel@tilvids.com , it works well with MBin, but it works meh with Lemmy
It’s very unique because only 0.05% of browsers have Hebrew as a prefered language(according to the second site), oh well, I guess it’s a problem for all semi-small language users
i’m not sure about how many PDSes there are exactly, but according to stats there are around 500 active users not on the BlueSky’s flagship PDS
Yea, it’s also open source, so that’s cool
And that’s why I like Bridgy Fed, I don’t really like BlueSky neither (except nuclear block), but thanks to the bridge I can still interact with my friends from my Fediverse accounts, something that wouldn’t be possible with Twitter for example
Same question, I’m pretty sure both Qwant and Ecosia are proprietary
There’s also @zenbrowser@fosstodon.org , it’s firefox-based as well
As far as I’m aware, Mastodon blocks work the same way they’ll work on Twitter now - The person you blocked can see your posts, but can’t interact with you
Edit: Actually, I was wrong the person you blocked can’t see your posts on Mastodon
@HerNameIsTitou@mstdn.social I mean it is? I’m a liberal tho
It’s different to deny genocide and deny the extince of the country, I think Armenian genocide happened and is bad, but I don’t deny Turkey’s right to exist?
@tinkralge@programming.dev @melroy@kbin.melroy.org
I don’t need real time collaboration at all, but I would prefer synchronization between my devices
Thanks for suggestions!
@Blaze@lemmy.zip That’s an old news article, from at least 3 months ago
Monetization is one of the main problem of PeerTube, it’s more expensive to make videos than to write threads, and while on YouTube/Odysee/Rumble content creators earn money, on peertube they often need to pay to instance operators to pay for hosting
User experience for peertube is not the best too, while in the most of the Fediverse for instance to connect with other instances a user just needs to follow someone on it, on peertube instance owner needs to add instances to the list to federate their content
@tardigrada@beehaw.org At least thanks to Bridgy ( @bsky.brid.gy@bsky.brid.gy ) BlueSky is becoming more connected to the Fediverse, sadly only a few thousand people have opted in, but it does have a lot of a potential
it’s closed source, no thank you
Friendica is the closest good alternative to #Facebook there is on Fediverse, I suggest checking it out
Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll check it out!
I don’t see a point in discussing this topic, I feel like I’m being trolled, I hope you will have a nice rest of your day!
