Sorry, I must’ve mixed up Start Page and DDG and/or Google and Bing. Though wasn’t aware that they did that much indexing of their own.

Infotiger’s not working, did we kill it? XD
DDG just uses Google’s search engine, minus all the trackers.
Porkbun’s competitively priced, easy to use, and the name is a great reference for Sleeping Dogs to me. What’s not to like?
I mean, if we’re going by anecdotes, on average, most gear will last 5 years more often than not. I still have my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 that’s still working, just that it’s sorely obsolete on the software side. Another even more extreme example: I also have a Samsung i600 that’s also still working, and only recently has the battery started showing signs of bloating. That’s a 15+ year-old phone!
The several thousand laptops the charity I worked for (and still volunteer for sometimes) give out yearly also indicate that plenty of laptops will make it past the 5 year mark. Until last year we were still giving out 6th gen Intel laptops.
That’s fine, that’s their choice. I get the feeling some here want to impose how things should be for others too.
A phone will be an appliance, and I’ll just do very basic stuff with it. Real computing will be done at the desktop anyway.
If you have a proper backup system in place that shouldn’t be a problem. Speaking of which I should do another round of backups…
I just installed it, and obviously it looks pretty basic at the start. Any particularly useful tutorials that showcase how powerful it is? I don’t need a beginner’s step-by-step (have used Notion before), I just need the eureka moment(s).
Given the logo of the community, it’s the note taking app/service, not the game developer.
I was thinking about it; Google offers a number of useful services, and I realise the hardest to get out of will be Maps. I can sort of replace the others with workarounds (Photos will probably be the second hardest to move from), but Maps, there’s nothing good enough to replace it for me as far as I can tell.
That’s a typo on my part, edited.
Welp, modding without Toolbox is not great, especially on the old reddit interface. Can’t imagine modding without it. That just leaves one dev working on the toolbox.
Edit: Brain thought Toolbox, fingers typed RES. Fixed the typo.
Not a Canadian, but yikes. I can’t imagine having to use Adobe to fill out government forms.
