I hear you. And I use that for many situations. All I’m saying is most complaints likely come from users with small screens and the fact that the default tool setup is so large makes it hard.
Which isn’t as easy as having the tools right there.
You seem to have a pretty big monitor. Try it on a 13” laptop and you’ll see why it’s harder to use.

To me open source means you have access to the source code. You can choose to modify it and let the author know you modified it. It’s up to the author to decide if they want to implement the changes.
I’ve been looking for something like this! So far I had an open street map bookmark but this is way better for when I’m hiking. Other commercial maps sucks for hikes.
