Nothing is stopping you from using more than one OS. Use NixOS for everything other than what you’re having problems with. And not using it at all won’t do anything to solve the problems, use it and try updated and new things every now and then, eventually it’ll work.

We’ve stopped with presents in my family, except for the kids. And they don’t get showered in them, a few things they really want, preferably cheap. Everyone else just wants nice food and family coziness.

I’m an adult on long-term sick leave so I have zero energy and money, but all the time. It’s generally not great, but at least I’m able to play all the games I want, watch all the movies and series of interest, discover music and learn about a ton of things.
