Well, the youtube menu is most likely positioned there because they dont want people to use it.

I don’t think the percentage for gen X is much lower. But those people simply engaged with a kind of computer technology in their youth that is irrelevant today, and had to keep up with a lot of new things since then.

But when consumers get in contact with Github - and they do get in contact at some point - it is to download executables, since a good number of consumer-facing software which isnt on an app store does simply release their executables on github. That twists people’s understanding of what the platform is.

Tbf the released page can be hard to notice/find, a lot of projects who use it simply have links on the main page to it because a portion of users will fail to navigate there

How do they even define “international students”? Surely it’s not people with an Erasmus or a semester abroad, the numbers are too high for that.

The term originates from professionals - psychiatrists etc - who work in that field, because they knew even decades ago that “pron” is the wrong word for this kind of material.

Ich würde das tatsächlich unterscheiden. Kinder ab 14 Jahren, die nichts für ihren Aufenthaltsstatus können, nicht abschieben. Die können in anderen Lebensumständen (betreute WG oder whatever) problemlos die Schule fertig machen.

Bei Kinder unter 14 könnte man auch schauen, ob es Alternativen gibt - zB Verwandte, bei denen es in Deutschland leben könnte.

Die Eltern, die die Situation herbeigeführt haben, weiterhin restriktiv abschieben.

Wir haben aberwitzigerweise genau diese Situation mittlerweile mehrmals medienwirksam in Österreich gehabt: Familie wird abgeschoben, im Namen des Kindes dagegen geklagt und die Gerichte urteilen dann, dass die Abschiebung nicht rechtens war und das Kind mit Schülervisum zurück nach Österreich darf (natürlich ohne Eltern).
