This hurts to read. As a lefty, I read these “studies” my whole life. The statistic that doesn’t show here is the one I remember most: that lefties are much more likely to commit suicide than righties. Also none of these mention the sociological factors here. How until very(!) recently, lots of people were forced into right-handedness by schools or church. I would guess that this plays a big part in these numbers. Especially when viewing the gendered handedness. Would be interesting to examine that more.

Es wird definitiv eine “antisemitische Protestwelle” geben, wenn jede Kritik am israelischen Staat und Militär als Antisemitismus bezeichnet wird. Ist natürlich auch eine einfache Lösung um mit Kritik umzugehen…

here’s the thing: in the past i have used couchsurfing to house people. i don’t intend to make “extra money” off of people needing a roof over their head.

airbnb’s were never great. couchsurfing was. airbnb always was a way to save on taxes for renting out actual bed&breakfast rooms. it was clear from the start, that airbnb led to empty houses, that people couldn’t afford the horrendous prices and had to move out. that big landlords would rent out individual rooms for double their worth… i don’t think the airbnb business model was ever “great” except for landlords

“some family’s backyard”? did you read the article? This was a big mansion somewhere where famous people live. and they can’t evict the person because they’re lacking the permits for the rental. and it all started because they didn’t get the house in proper shape. so yeah, fuckem

Airbnb is truly the evil outlier of late stage capitalism and the housing crisis.

Kommt das nicht aufs gleiche hinaus? Aber natürlich war mein Kommentar relativ reduktiv. Macht, Ressourcen und Land sind auch Motivationen für Krieg.

Problematisch finde ich eher dass wir glaube ich echt alle wissen was die Lösung der großen Probleme sind. Wir wissen: Krieg gibt’s nur weil man an Waffen viel Geld verdient. Lösung: verbieten.

Arbeit und Geld: Betriebe wieder verstaatlichen (Post, Bahn, Wasser, Strom, Wärme)

Wohnen: Wohnungen in öffentliche Hand. Besitz von mehr Wohnungen als man bewohnt verbieten.

Finanzen: Tobit Steuer. Aktienmarkt zerschlagen.

Kenn ich gar nicht das Problem. Ich finde Eis wird immer geiler. Mehr Auswahl, mehr coole Sorten, mehr Experimente.

Nur kurz: wenn du nicht für deine Vorteile bleibst, dann bleib für die anderen. Gewerkschaft heißt auch Solidarität. Die Gewerkschaft braucht auch dich, nicht nur umgekehrt.

Es gibt genug Gründe da zu bleiben für dich, aber wenn dich keiner davon überzeugt, dann bleib aus Solidarität mit allen Menschen in anderen sozialen Berufen drin, oder um dich mit ihnen aktiv zu vernetzen.
