What you’re looking for is genealogy software. You’ve got me curious about this as well now, hadn’t thought about it before. I’m seeing some recommendations online for Gramps Web, don’t know if it’s a perfect fit but might be a good starting point.

11·4 months agoIt may not add routes, but they certainly add weight. More weight means more gas use. And I think we can all get behind reducing gas use in general where possible.

The LDS (Mormons) actually do repeat it, in a sense. Their weekly sacrament is a renewal of their baptismal blessings

3·9 months agoThis is the way. It’s always a risk buying used drives, and everything I’ve seen and heard about them has been good news so I expect OP getting a replacement should be pretty easy.

11·9 months agoI built this rig ages ago, so definitely not that. I probably didn’t use enough when I upgraded my CPU last year so redoing it should fix it up

21·9 months agoThis is my project tomorrow. CPU temps have been much higher than normal, so new thermal paste should hopefully do the trick

We just had a total power outage, and restarting my main machine I remembered I have Linux Mint installed as duel boot. I’ve been waiting for a final push to get me to migrate away from Windows. Would it be easier to do all this from Linux Mint instead of Windows?

1·1 year agoNo GUI on my end (It’s been fun learning to use a headless server). I have to sudo to be able to do anything in the mount locations. Using ls -s, the permissions and owner aren’t changing after using chown and chmod.

5·1 year agoYou said you recently got a gigabit plan, but that’s related to your home download speed. Check to see what your upload speed actually is. Depending on your ISP’s plans, you might have a speedy download but a slow upload.
I’ve used Grocy before that had good functionality for that. Can create chores that are done regularly and it can be assigned to certain people, or rotates through the family. The main feature is tracking groceries, but it does so much more.

It’s still a one time purchase for the license. It’s only OS updates that would need to be paid for yearly after the 1st year
