Doubt it, because we have ″Microsoft Government″
It’s often either mentality or high workload. Higher pay will not help in these situations. There are bad corporations and also bad workers.
True, although I think there usually are either signs or site admins give heads up when site is soon to go under. Doubt Reddit or Twitter will be dead any time soon.
I honestly do not think Internet Archive even should be archiving such behemoths like Reddit or Twitter. Only thing it should keep would be currently dead sites.
Even worse when people are accessing these posts through Archive even when there is a live copy. A lot of storage and bandwidth wasted.
What if you would have 2 devices of same type with same OS or just with OS that starts with same letter? Will you use numbers, if yes, how much leading zeroes if any you will use? If you don’t use numbers, will you add a room name? But what if there are 2 devices with same OS in the same room?
It is. Besides some very niche bugs everything in the core of PowerShell seems logical to me and easy to understand.
I work pretty frequently with PS and have no issues with syntax. It’s easy to read and you always have autocomplete so there is just 1 extra click to get from -r to -Recurse. Same command could be also written as this due to alias feature.
rm 'C:' -r -fo
It’s just not the best practice since in PowerShell it is recommended to not use aliases for readability reasons. Also less chance to mess things up due to how verbose all commands and their parameters are.
Just to add, consumer outlook / live / hotmail also benefits from this since it is also using Exchange in backend.
Additionally EWS is atually deprecated and planned to be closed on 2026 October for at least commercial Exchange Online (M365 / Cloud) customers (unclear from that article if free Outlook accounts also will be affected) although as with all MS announcements it will probably be prolonged. Microsoft Graph API is the new hot thing, but it seems some EWS features are not yet available in Graph API based on comments.
Another thing that in a proper company setting that uses Exchange Online you must approve applications before they can be used to access data (Not just Exchange data, this is Entra ID formerly Azure AD feature) for both EWS (in the past it was different, but now Oauth must be used which requires approval) and Graph API so company administrator will have to approve Thunderbird which many will not allow.
Get-Disk would have sufficed here, no real need to use WMI here. That said, you would still need to filter USB device and select properties you want to retrieve.
And unrelated, but if WMI class needs to be queried, Get-CimInstance is the preferred method instead of Get-WmiObject for quite some time.
Maybe not false advertising, guess it’s true that only commercial products could be called that. Misleading then, bad marketing (probably also only for commercial things so not really), I don’t know how to call it.
Just a weird choice, that’s all. Same if you would add Metallica album if you showcase some hobby project meant to host royality free music :)
What entitlement? I am just saying it’s weird that you would add games with DRM in mockup for a project that’s about DRM-free games. Gay porn or any porn for that matter would also not fit in DRM-free game category.
I would call it more like false advertising. Showing a screen that in theory is not possible unless you pirate or just make mockups.
Slightly weird choice to post that in official project site when FAQ mentions piracy is not endorsed :)
Kind of surprised although at least now looks like only 1st one is available
Assassin’s Creed is free of DRM?
For most it’s a CV hosting platform and nothing else.
If I simply buy the ticket from their page that’s also very convenient, they should probably add some fee for that as well.
Even better is that GN did say “auctioned” and not “sold”. Can’t even get that right.
README.txt will be a text file, README.md can be much more
Keepass2Android supports many cloud options including Nextcloud and OwnCloud so it sync with storage directly. At least with Dropbox it works like a charm.
