As I understand it:

1. People will not see any posts made by lemmy.world and shitjustworks in beehaw.org communities.

2. Users in beehaw.org can’t see posts and comments made by users from lemmy.world and shitjustworks anywhere

3. lemmy.world and shitjustworks users can still see posts and comments made by beehaw users

Basically, stay away from beehaw communities no matter where you are, unless you’re on a beehaw account for some reason. And don’t reply to beehaw users because they won’t see it.

Ironically, this harms beehaw more than it harms us because people will just stay away from them. Maybe that was their goal though, to have less users…

The real dip will happen when the third party apps go down, specially with stuff like reddit Sync’s dev now making Sync for Lemmy instead, and Artemis for kbin/Lemmy and Memmy being heavily inspired by Apollo.

Lots of people come over when you explain it to them; even made this quick summary including Sync and Artemis to explain to confused redditors what’s happening, and it seems to be effective. Feel free to use it.

I’d add in the sidebar an invitation to the reddit mods, and just people in general, to mod them too; I bet alot of them might want to just to maintain power like you said.
