As an ‘80s kid, I got freeware that was free from services that also offered try-and-buy software. Specifically labeled as freeware. As usual, there may be a definition that was agreed upon in the circles the author moved in, but on the consumer/DOS side there absolutely was “freeware” = free of charge.
I think the graphic would be better if some of the data were nested by size and relationship. IOW Agricultural land would have grazing, food production, feed production, etc. in decreasing size nested over an area. Might give greater sense of how much land is used for ag. Same for forestry; Forestry, parks, commercial logging, etc.
I had the opposite. Jellyfin just works. Plex kept losing my movie folders, refused to play videos, wouldn’t screen cast, had problems with audio tracks, there always seemed to be a disconnect between app and server, they refused to connect despite both being the correct versions. It worked great initially, but got steadily more and more problematic over time. I gave up, even though I’d paid for it, and made a jellyfin server and have had zero trouble since.
Don’t know why two programs should have such radically different experiences, they should just do what they’re supposed to.
I’m seeing far too many variations of national strike/don’t buy anything/everyone local protest memes that are scattered throughout February. I can hear someone argue that they might want a month filled with protest, and that’s fine, but if you’re looking at this from the outside all you see is disorganized shifting dates and objectives. Shit needs to get organized. It’s head-shakingly liberal; everyone has their own agenda, all are legit and should be heard, but they all can’t pull together to succeed with the overwhelming show of force to be effective.
Sound, too, if you have anything better than just stereo.

I guess I could have included that. It’s just a generic muti-error output stating it couldn’t find any files or that the source may be copyright protected - something I figured libdvdcss was supposed to work around.
Hmm…gave that a try just now and it said the version was too old (? odd, it was the latest listed) and asked for a registration…
Not sure what I did incorrectly, but that was the route I started on before looking for other ways to backup my collection… I dropped the libdvdcss in my Handbrake directory as was suggested on other sites, but Handbrake throws an error every time.
I’ll offer that I’ve had the DX for probably a decade and had zero trouble, but of course YMMV.

If you’re well positioned enough to have made yourself ultra-wealthy, you’re probably in a position to be calling some of the shots and can dictate when and where you’ll be. Doesn’t matter which generation it is.

Think how many stories of minorities getting serious abuse, fear, or even just killed. Those stories become the infamous “Talk” some PoC parents have to have with their kids about interaction with the police. It’s generational. They’d know the chance of being shot is real.
But this white chick? Nah. Not gonna worry. The shock from everyone surrounding the issue is just further proof.

I dumped Plex years ago even though I paid for it. Too many issues with it. Constantly losing movie folders, unable to stream to the device I wanted to watch on, wrong codec, wrong sound, etc, etc. I gave up. I’m sure it worked fine for most, but it got to be a pain. Switched to Jellyfin and a DDNS address and have had zero problems since. And it’s free.
