As someone who’s mexican I encounter that more than one would think since I have 2 last names and it gets weird sometimes since I also have a middle name.

They sorta are, plenty of options for cheap quality untilited phone plans out there even with international included and very few people actually need a state of the art 1k phone to make payments on.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not policing how people should spend their money. All I’m saying is that plans are from the past and don’t need to exist, like faxes.
Back in 2012 apple won a UI patent and we know how those megacorps do. No idea to what extent but that sorta stops any big contenders on copying them. The multi year contracts are a meme from the past but it’s the same sort of people who aren’t techliterate enough to learn a new UI, that keep with the contracts.
See my other comment.
Tldr: Parents make sure to teach their kids not to shit on the ground.
A little. Hands on parenting is what they need. I made sure my baby brother is tech literate when my mom is 100 percent not. He just graduated highschool this year. Sure some of the blame is on tech but kids don’t know how to shit in a toilet either and parents make damn sure they learn as quickly as possible.
Can’t really blame them either, it was our generation that dropped the ball in making sure they were more tech literate than us. Not that I have kids but still.
As someone who’s used and uses both for work and isn’t a fanboy of either, sorry but apple does not have an easy to learn interface. It seems like every single choice they made was done to just be different from the alternative, more often than not to the detriment of the user. If they lock people in to how their ecosystem works low tech people can’t easily change.
I might actually put this under my skills. I’m fairly good at googlefu.
God if that isn’t the truth. We changed from Thryv to rackspace and we went from zero spam to 30 a day and this is AFTER they block a bunch. Waste of my time every day having to go through them.
Unironically it might work. Have a filing cabinet with all the attacks that you can point too.
Yea it’s unfortunate.
Reminds me, the box a pet rock came in that my brother gave me this last Christmas has the frigging minions logo on it. It says ‘as seen on [minions eye logo]’.
Jokes on you, I pirate my books. No idea if the book youtubers I watched were paid but their sensibilities are similar to mine and so far they haven’t lead me astray. I like supporting my book writers directly instead of giving money to corpos whenever possible.
She has a roku TV which I’ve read a bit about cracking but it sounds sorta annoying. Once we move in I’m planning to get a projector and hook it up to a mini pc with a wireless small mouse and keyboard. We mostly use it for movie nights anyways.
Eh I get what you mean even if it does sound sorta mean and I don’t entirely disagree. I would just call it ignorance, she wasn’t aware that you could get cracked apps for tvs or that just hooking up your pc to the TV is an easier alternative to all of that. Now she knows and she’s all about it.
Were planning to move in together soonish and I told her I would handle all the techside of stuff and that she can just let me know what she wants and I’ll do it.
You’re not kidding. My girlfriend started talking about this until I straight up told her to stop. She already has ublock on pc she knows there’s a way, she’s just willing to pay to not have ads on her YouTube TV app because they’re frustrating.
We already have ad books. They’re called magazines, just give it a couple more years and regular books will be filled with ads too. I’ve already encountered some regular books that have an insert talking about another book from the same creator. Sure it doesn’t seem bad now but soon it’ll be an insert about a friend of the creator, then about the same company that did this book, then in similar genres, then more inserts about products that might make your book reading experience better, etc etc.
I have 4 pairs of the same kacki shorts that I use for work. It’s comfy.
Dude same here. I usually say stuff along the lines of ‘yea it took me forever the first time to figure it out’ or ‘it’s a common issue that a lot of people have, I’ll get it sorted in a sec for you no problem’. Make it seem like they’re not stupid, regardless of the truth and then fix it, keeps em happy and more willing to cooperate with you as well.
I also talk through what I’m doing and if they show interest I’ll teach them so they can fix it in the future, ‘ah I’ve seen this before, took me like a hour to figure it out on my computer, for me it was a chrome update that broke how downloaded files open. Here let me right click the file, and go to open with, we hit Adobe pdf and check the always open with this program button, that should do it let’s test it out. OK seems like its good to go. Let me know if you have any more issues’. If they don’t show interest then it’s no problem.
I may have misread, Its not clear to me if it’ll be a staple of their free email service or will be added as part of their paid subscription to all their services but it still sounds neat. It very well could be bullshit but I’m interested in learning more.

Something that could happen in Mexico for a name is Juan Maria as a first, Guillermo David as a middle and Gonzales De Mercado as a last name. Technically 7 words and totally a thing but not common at all, anymore at least.
