If you want free, I’d recommend Protom Mail.
For paid, I really like Mailbox.org and Posteo. They work with IMAP/POP3, CardDAV, and CalDAV

I’m confused. Wouldn’t he have access to his email and maybe phone number that is attached to his Microsoft account to prove who he is?
Self host FreshRSS, use the GReader or Fever API link that’s built into FreshRSS to sync to other apps on your local network. If you want to access the sync remotely, use Tailscale or setup Wireguard. I personally just run Wireguard in OpenWrt
There is no need to expose FreshRSS to the internet
That’s because Feeder does their OPML file differently. Their OPML file includes Feeder settings. You have to wait for v0.9.13 release that makes it compatible. It’ll be the next release. Current release is v0.9.12
If you want to actually fully degoogle, you wouldn’t want to use Revanced. Revanced just patches the official YouTube App.
I personally use NewPipe when watching on my phone, but I do have Revanced YouTube installed as well just for casting to my TV. Convenience for me.
Different use. Feeder only works locally.
Read You can sync with multiple types of RSS servers. I love using it with FreshRSS. Great for people who use multiple devices.
Have you ever had gluten free pastry?
Yes, I’ve had gluten-free pastries before. My friend has Celiac and can’t consume gluten due to possible intestinal damage.
He has taken me to delicious gluten-free bakeries to get ice cream cookie sandwiches, pumpkin bread, brownies, garlic parmesan bread, quiche, meat handpies, etc
Just because you had bad ones doesn’t mean they are all bad. Same goes with other food.
I mean you can choose to power through it. I’d sooner have a windy, achy gut than eat a gluten-free yum yum.
Well, if you had celiac disease, good luck living with permanent damage to your intestinal villi.
Yup! Whereas with Media Tracker, everything is pretty much almost instantaneous for me.
Ryot was too slow for me. It’s really bad when you try to mark multiple TV series seasons as “seen” at the same time as well.
Unfortunately, it looks like they deleted the Windows branch in Sept 2023
It is only made for Docker, which you can run on Windows, MacOS, and Linux
I have used Ryot for a while. It is nice and has a lot of features. It has documentation, which is really nice.
I am using Media Tracker because it has most of the features I need and it’s very fast. I wish it had genre sections like Ryot though. It looks like someone created an issue for it at least. Might go back to Ryot eventually, but we’ll see. Luckily Ryot has a Media Tracker import option.
I personally use Media Tracker because it’s fast and have enough features for me.
Ryot is another one that’s good.
Flox hasn’t had a commit since 2020. It’s not being updated anymore.
The Android app is no longer going to be developed. But I heard the mobile webUI works fine.
Oh wow. I didn’t know that there was a docker for Libreoffice. LinuxServer.io is always amazing for making these!
Yeah, unfortunately because of this decision from Mullvad, they also lost me as customer and I had to move to another.
It kinda sucks because I loved Mullvad. They had great servers, customer service, and I do like their Android & Linux program.
Did you update your public IP address for your domain after changing ISPs?
I don’t understand what you’re talking about. An open source app with a subscription service does not make it a proprietary app.
There are plenty of open source services/apps that costs money. Open source ≠ Free (as in money)
In the link, the dev even said:
Subscription using Patreon will also be available, but you can only download it on GitHub. It will not contain any Google Play services.
They haven’t mentioned anything about the app being closed source. Please do not spread misinformation.
The title of this post is misleading. If you follow the links, the dev says they are releasing a $3/mo subscription service for their app starting on 08/30.
The current Infinity app will stop working, and you have to install the new Infinity app, which is the same but with subscription.

I run Wireguard VPN on my router that’s using OpenWrt
I love RSS.
I run FreshRSS as my server via docker and connect to it via Read You on Android and NewsFlash on Linux
I also run RSS-Bridge in docker. It has been really useful as it can generate RSS feeds for many websites that don’t natively have them.
