I had the 22 upgrade completely bomb out of the installer and got a kernel panic on reboot. I booted off of a live boot image, launched Timeshift and restored it. Within 20 minutes my broken install was back to where it was before the upgrade. It was really invaluable.
Drew demonstrated pretty remarkable patience there.
Things are starting to improve on that front, at least on the OS level, even the Arch community is more welcoming these days. There is still a ton of gatekeeping in certain areas, though. Ask a beginner question on WineHQ sometime, for example.

At the start of all this when Christian first posted I figured I would just use some sort of workaround like old.reddit in mobile browser; the official app and new reddit are non-starters for me, it’s just not how I browse.
However, in the days since I have been increasingly dismayed by Spez and the rest of the leadership response, a lack of interest in even engaging on the subject and outright hostility towards a community that has been dedicated to reddit for years. I can’t see myself going back there, it’s been poisoned for me.
I use Garuda Dragonized as well and one of the best parts is using KDE Plasma 6 which can make your desktop environment look and feel however you like. I made mine more Windows-like because it’s more familiar to me, but you can easily make it look like Gnome or Mac or something else entirely using menu-driven settings.
Now if only we could get more Wayland native applications…
