I’ve been on my 3rd install of linux mint and immich. I can’t seem to make it work. I can’t mount my second hard drive so immich can see it. I’m gathering up a strength for the 4th install.

Raspberry Pi 3 B+ with Pihole. Its hard to look at websites without Pihole. Oh! I have another running Octopi for my 3D printer.
Don’t they need a circuit protection to not over-discharge lithium batteries? Most AA devices would suck all the juice from the battery until it stops working.
It feels like another corporate promotional stunt. Not interested.
I don’t even have the motivation/curiosity to check it out. That used to be a great place, now it’s another corporate promotion.
Yes! I definitely used to go to Reddit for their amazing icons! /s
What do you think hinders the open source community to develop a printer.
Instances had problems with just people signing-up. Imagine Meta’s server farms federate. Everything is smooth and bug free on Threads. “Sign up on Threads” because it’s a convenient and smooth experience. Imagine the smaller instances loosing users. Now when Threads has lots of users they will decide to stop federating. They will take all their user with them.
Thank you for caring for the federation. Seeing how much the community care gives me hope for humanity.
How much garbage post you have to weed through on Reddit? Some user suggest to do a silent protest where the mods don’t moderate and just remove the very bad ones. Letting the sub degrade over time. Is that a feasible action? Would that work on a small niche sub?
This is the time when volunteer mods finally get their paycheck!
Step 1: Use alt account to trash talk your mod account. Step 2: Apply to oust your mod account with a small compensation Step 3: Profit!!!
For the semi-lurker like me there’s nothing holding me back to Reddit. Some current news, sprinkle of meme, some draft comments that I will never submit and some meaningful discussion from community, fediverse has all those.
It’s so amazing that the mods are still for the community even though the home base is uncertain. Go mods! You guys are appreciated!
Isn’t this what happened to raspberry.social when they started telling everyone to unfollow them if they don’t agree. They got defederated. ilIt’s not child porn bad but it’s a swift action if an instance don’t play nice.
This is what I want to see. When admins forced a sub to reopen I would think the volunteer mods won’t maintain it, it will slowly crumble. Volunteer mods has a better motivation to maintain the sub they love than a paid employee.
I refuse to go back to Reddit to even look but this is my fear for a long time now. Loosing trust to any conversation in the internet.
