Hmm, I don’t want an ai that I use to have opinions. I want it to answer questions with no emotion or opinions. If you want a band holding therapist or complaining or an edgy haedcore ai you can prlba my find them elsewhere and they won’t need to be trained on yheatget datasets or be cutting edge.
You really wantan ai with OPINIONS? Whose opinions will they be? It makes them up on the spot? Based on whatever biases it was trained on?
What if you don’t like their"opinions"? Or do you want opinions that you agree with?
That would be a mess.
No wonder they make them with no opinions.
Bing can give good answers but I don’t want to read it’s emotional responses and empjis.
Yeah, wonder if you could use a VPN.
You can, however access it through poe.com, apparently.
What are the implications of this?
If I’m referencing use of chatgpt4 (rather than 3.5 turbo)n the UI that’s what I’m going to call it.
If I’m talking about bing and how it uses gpt4, I’ll call it gpt4.
You can use claude for free on poe.com/
GPT3.5? Haven’t used that in months.
I mainly use claude+ and gpt4, and if chatgpt4 is down bing.
How do people find the responses of the API Vs chatgpt4?
How is it making double digit millions? Through deals with companies and plex passes?
If you improve it let me know!
“Ultimate” :/
Nerfed more?
By making it take 5 minutes to complete a search rather than 2 minutes?
By failing 80% of the time rather than 40%
Have you had it reply “Sorry, I didn’t have enough time to complete the search. I’ll keep on researching and come back to you”
and then 3 queries (on unrelated matters) later rather than answering the future query it answers the query from 3 queries ago?
A bit of a joke.
Don’t you think for relatively simple queries (and perhaps more complicated) bing chat is more than sufficient?
Haha thanks I came here to post about this.
One question is: if chatgpt and browser does this, does bing also do this but microsoft isn’t pulling it?
I hope when openai bring it back they improve the browser - it’s far too slow and often fails.
I have also found the opposite- I did a big test of chatgpt with bing vs chatgpt with various web plugins vs bing creative vs bard, and here are the queries and results:
https://lemmy.world/post/105771
I found that chatgpt with browser was one of the worst performing, taking the longest o give results (1-2+ minutes), often giving an error, sometimes saying - “I tried but didn’t have enough time, I’ll keep trying and let you know” then a few queries later on other topics it would give the results of the old query (pretty poor, really).
Frankly, chatgpt with browser is embarrassing compared to bing, often. Bing gives references - which can be VERY useful, especially if you think it might be hallucinating, as if you ask a chat AI for references if you’re suspicious of incorrect information, they often say “sorry, can’t do that”.
Maybe they’ve improved it, however I don’t even bother with chatgpt and browser, and instead use bing and bard (which is often far below par) even though I have a chatgpt pro account.
Linux only.
So, we might get sick of it and interact more with people and life/nature?
…or wall-e and idiocracy are foreshadowing documentaries.
Yes, sure, didn’t want to complicate the question by adding that :)
Thanks. Might be useful for there to be a table outling diffrent hardware configs and acceptable user loads as more people people consider creating instances.
I use a kobo- has a blue light filter, waterproof, backlight. Not sure about the selfhosted library, I throw everything into memory which is enough for thousands of books.
Anything but amazon.
