I can assure you that even if they are using FOSS, they are absolutely storing any data they can.
Playing around with an Odroid. Retro gaming / media server.
Odroid is not all ARM (mine is but their latest is x86). I ran Seti@home on my old computer and it handled things fine. It went obsolete before it went kaput. RIP Phenom IIx4 and the Athlon64 that preceded it.
Buying an odroid for old school gaming but I could contribute when it’s not in use. It only uses 1.6W - 16W of power so it would not be a big deal to leave it running 24/7.
| the computer does science along the way.
sings I’m doing science and I’m still alive
I use Lithium on android. The dark mode is great for night reading.
If crypto mining used 0 energy, would that change your mind?
The idea has merit but the implementation is flawed at best. It’s too easy for grifters to pump and dump.
I read that news. It was an out of season April Fools’ joke, right?
VLC absolutely wrecked Windows Media Player. Firefox was the same with IE.
Very light on details. Does it only replace the Samsung launcher?
Could you sign in with Firefox and manage across multiple devices?
Yup, Bing used to be the best at Porn. Iirc, beta testers trained it that way.
Ah, yes. Seratonin.
Yeah, I still exist on reddit for news or a few niche communities. I see a lot of the recycled memes and point gaming. The few discussions get no traction or an overwhelming response. You can’t really argue with anyone. It becomes ad-hominem and hurt feelings.
If ye don’t ;;COMMENT correctly, then ye get da lash again!!
Every time I see posts like this I think cool…but what the hell is it?
A limited blackout did nothing to change Reddit’s mind. Periodically asking users if they want to end the Blackout did not help since as dissatisfied users left for Discord or Lemmy, the voters became biased toward ending the Blackout.
In the future, boycotting and demanding that advertisers cancel ad revenue would be far more effective. Lawsuits about Reddit restoring user content involuntarily may still do damage but not quickly enough to help the protest.
That mandatory overtime.
I like AntennaPod but wish it would play Podcasts in Sequential Order. It’s a highly requested feature but the Dev does not want to implement it. The Smart Queue is anything but.
