3·4 months agoI wish that the only problem I had with windows 11 was that I couldn’t reposition the taskbar.
Microsoft has done this with every windows they’ve made. After the support period is over, you can pay for additional for a few years to help you transition. This one is so loud because windows 11 was such a privacy bait and switch.
Windows 11 is basically Windows 10, internally it hasn’t changed names. They have to have an external trade name for it or people won’t realize they’re “behind.”
Delightfully, I was unaware.
I’ve found that arch is often an easier time than fedora if you want “up-to-date” Linux. Fedora has its heart in the right place, but its pathological adherence to open source makes it sometimes a very difficult time for certain classes of new things.
But as I have opinions as to my lawn and your location relative to it, Debian is more often fine for my needs. It’s my daily driver on pretty much everything at work and at home, with the exception of a few arch and fedora systems in my home lab.

It’s fine. I moved to gitlab years ago for 2fa, so while this doesn’t affect me I would be entirely ok with normal 2fa.
It is normal, right? Not a weird Microsoft 2fa requiring their app?
