The implementation is cute. I would like that plushie.

I use the same font everywhere. At two different sizes because it’s a bitmap font, but I’d have more variation for a vector font. Looks the same to me 🤷 Maybe it’s to do with the shape or size of the container of the text?
Is it illegal to film police where you are? If it’s not illegal then just use your camera app. You can probably configure it so that you can open the camera app from the lockscreen without a password, but then of course make sure you can’t e.g. access anything from your gallery from the camera app. I have always just used my camera app to film police. There also used to be “secret recording” apps for Android at least, but I believe modern Android security doesn’t allow for that kind of app behaviour anymore.
Yeah I’ve always just used note taking apps for this. Currently been using Notesnook for a couple of years and it’s worked super well for me.
Just direct it into a file, read the script, and run it if you’re happy. It’s just a shorthand that doesn’t require saving the script that will only be used once.
Nice. Are you posting to Lemmy from the terminal? Also how did you take this screenshot?
I’m not talking about “AES”, I’m talking about communism. By the definition of “communism = AES” then communism doesn’t abolish class, private property, the value-form, nations, etc.
Anarchism distinguishes itself from communism principally by an inherent opposition to hierarchy, and an opposition to many of the organisational forms that communists may advocate for or participate in, eg communist parties, councils, and any kind of structure that could constitute a hierarchy. And anarchists are inherently opposed to centralisation, and so on.
That’s just a communist thing, not an anarchist-specific thing…
I’m also not a professional but I think it should be perfect for a YouTube-style video. You can easily overlay things, add text, etc.
I like my memes to come with a bibliography.

Part of the joke is that it looks like a snapchat story, hence the photo
This except it’s activity on the PR I submitted and it’s just a bot marking it as stale because there’s been no activity. Well it’s ready to merge if a maintainer would just click the button… Or tell me why they won’t merge it
Yeah, I was also using FreeTube when Mullvad got blocked. Mullvad’s South African servers worked for me for a while but they’re now blocked too, and I’ve tried a bunch of countries and all blocked. Annoyingly even yt-dlp is blocked with Mullvad on now, so I can’t even use that to watch YouTube.
I’d like to know if any of these frontends work with Mullvad VPN, because all the Mullvad servers I’ve tried have been blocked. Even on youtube.com I’m getting throttled to the point where all videos are 360p. Ridiculous, but I’m not turning my VPN off just for YouTube videos.
And that’s precisely why OP is asking for frontends. So they can view the posts. They aren’t looking to make posts.
Use a VPN and a good ad/tracking blocker
Have you tried going to Instagram with a VPN on? You can’t see shit unless you log in, and I don’t want to make an account.
Yes, exactly, installing additional add-ons for Mullvad browser (except noscript) defeats the purpose. I also find it annoying whenever I have to use Tor Browser or Mullvad Browser because I have to use the mouse.
I use Librewolf for my “normal”/fingerprintable/non-anonymous browsing, but I still try to reduce fingerprintability (don’t have too many add-ons installed, RFP is on ofc, I have letterboxing etc).
To be fair, if you want to reduce fingerprintability but still browse the web with just your keyboard, the TUI web browsers could work. Obviously they’re pretty uncommon, but I imagine you’d look like any other user of lynx/w3m/etc. So you’d be quite unique but I’m not sure if you’d be distinguishable from other users of the same browser.
It’s really easy to go mouseless on Linux/Unix. Just use as many TUI programs as possible since none of them will be mouse-oriented.
Also check out this list: https://github.com/erikw/vim-keybindings-everywhere-the-ultimate-list
A lot of people (myself included) like vim keybindings and want them in other programs, and of course using vim keybindings is inherently mouseless.
Off the top of my head, some software I use:
I don’t use them, but you can also use something like Mutt, Neomutt, or Aerc for an email client, and use CLI bittorrent clients and password managers.
I also haven’t had issues with my self-hosted Nextcloud, DAVx, and Fossify Calendar. Has worked without hiccups for me.
Is the furry in the background also for old people?
