The long and short of it is, Vlad wanted to get me on a call to discuss what he felt were “misunderstandings” in my post. I declined. He pressed a bit with more argument, I explicitly spelled out that I did not want to hear from him again. His response to “stop emailing me” was to write me a big essay arguing with my post (kind of, I’ll discuss this more). I sent one more reply reiterating for him to stop emailing me, and that was it.

This to me more sounds like I have made up my mind to not like this guy or his product and nothing will change this. This is personal and even most of the issues being discussed are nit pickings at details and fights on being right or wrong on things that really don’t matter

Come on… this comes up every time Kagi gets mentioned anywhere. Someone is personally hurt by the CEO and is now in a crusade to spread bad karma about them.

As a product I really enjoyed Kagi for years and would still be my preferred search engine if I wasn’t switching away from US products and services. I am now using Qwant but honestly imo Kagi is pretty good and worth the money

I’ve passed it over to my local pc store and asked them to troubleshoot the hardware. I’m pretty sure that it is the psu as it was replaced half a year ago for doing more or less the same thing. Maybe something is breaking my psu

Ok thanks. The PSU is the newest part in this PC. Was replaced half a year ago for doing the exact same thing. Sounds like there may be something breaking the PSU somehow

So… it won’t even boot at all now. Only rotates the fans a few times and shuts down. Could it be a powerfully issue

That said, im not making it that far any more. When booting up, the fans start rotating for a few seconds and then it shuts down. Then it will try again and just keep repeating the process of only rotating the fans again and again

I’ll try to see if i can boot off an USB. Any good links that explain what fsck is and how it works?

I have figured out how to set up a shortcut to suspend my desctop! (yeah rookie here). My issue is, that it wakes up, whenever someone walks past it. Is there a way to define what wakes my PC (more mouse movement, maybe disable the mouse from waking it?)

Isn’t this a requirement that the sharer decides?

Bots can create accounts too. If it indeed was to prevent bots, they would just ask for a captcha test to continue browsing

Yeah the thumbnail part becomes quite handy when picking pictures to edit or upload, especially when it is from a folder that mostly contains images

My biggest hurtle is why i can’t see files as thumbnails when picking a file to open or save. It works for file library but the file picker won’t show images as thumbnails. Only a list view with tiny thumbnails that sra too small to see the actual image
