Shame they are using AI generated images for thumbnails.
It’s a lighting technique that creates more realistic visuals, especially reflections.
The technique allows the GPU to “track” / calculate how the light should actually travel and what it bounces off of (like light in real life), compared to the pre-calculated methods of before.
So it will cost you processing power and therefore frames, but it greatly increases the visual accuracy of lighting, shadows and reflections.
A simple but effective example is Minecraft with Ray Tracing. The following video showcases the difference:

Notice how the game looks completely different. That’s what lighting can do for a game.
Obviously this is less noticeable when it’s a game with realistic graphics and a lot of time spent on getting the (prebaked) lighting just right.
That looks amazing, thanks for sharing sag!
As stated in my post, hitting next would bring back the consent window and if you rejected any of the hundreds of vendors, it would bring you back to this screen again.
I originally didn’t want to include it to not give them any publicity, but a lot of folks seem to agree with you so I added a link to the OP
I am, but what can I do? Try and reporting it via the obtuse methods of Google to have them investigate themselves seems pointless
mm I like this, you made it sound so simple!
If you flip a sine wave upside down (shift it 180 degrees), it can mean “1.” If the wave stays as it is, it can mean “0.” This flipping happens really fast, creating a pattern of 1s and 0s. That’s your data.
A special receiver then measures the wave’s shifts and turns them back into the original 1s and 0s.
Instead of just flipping the wave or not, you can also shift it by smaller angles:
This way, each wave can carry two bits of data instead of one, making it faster.
I rarely downvote but this deserves one.
If you want to be able to edit and delete comments from others you might want to look at hosting your own website where you can rule however you like.
It’s not complex, it simply doesn’t exist. Consent only applies when humans are involved.
And if you won’t take my word for it, ask your LLM of choice whether they can consent.
