Are you just as concerned that cash is not traceable and that some is exchanged tax free? I don’t see how any GPU miners are profitable at this point. Outside of gaming: AI must have a larger GPU demand? Most miners are using ASICs. You’re absolutely right that mining energy should come from plants that have underutilized capacity and (obviously) renewable sources. The cat’s out of the bag on cryptocurrency and unjust laws don’t deserve to be followed. All government printed currencies eventually become worthless.
Crypto cannot be banned. It can only be made illegal, if countries want to remove themselves from the digital currency revolution. The derivatives market is $730T. Stocks are about $110T. Real estate is around $380T. If you’re concerned about the minuscule amount of illegal activities that occur within the 3.5T crypto market, your fears are misguided. Crypto is mostly traceable. Fiat currencies are highly preferred for drug sales and tax avoidance.

Eternity is working fine for me. Try logging in again (or clear the app’s data and then login).
Thanks! It does indeed look like people try out Linux before the new Windows release. Then it returns to the slower adoption trend.
Someone should add major Windows releases on the X axis. There’s gotta be some correlation.
Syncthing accomplishes both local and Internet transfers and doesn’t need a third party server (if you’re not doing NAT traversal). I don’t think you can send individual files through it’s interface. But you can share a directory and any files you add (or edit) will sync via P2P to other devices.
Gotcha. A ZigBee/Z-wave plug was the first thing that came to mind. I’ll probably go the same route. I was merely saying that wireless-anything is less dependable than wired. But I don’t even know if wired smart plugs exist. I use wireless sensors around my home and I’ve never had an issue with dependability. I definitely wasn’t considering Z-wave as a local attack vector. I was just brainstorming some way to avoid a wireless solution for something where dependability is paramount.
Care to share what outlet you had success with? I’m comfortable with Home Assistant and ZigBee/Z-Wave. Something this critical probably shouldn’t be wireless, but I digress. I’m also interested in what software you’re using for monitoring and alerts (if you’re willing to share). Cheers!
Thanks! I just found it.
Is Fossify’s SMS app on F-Droid yet?
I can recommend OpenBoard. Its open source and available on F-Droid or Google/Aurora. It doesn’t request Network permissions. As far as updates: it hasn’t been updated in 17 months. Its not updated extremely frequently, but it’s definitely not abandoned. It works great and I don’t see anything it needs added or fixed in my experience.
Does OpenTracks have the features you’re wanting? It tracks your path, shows stats, and allows you to save it to recall later. It’s on F-Droid. https://opentracksapp.com
Civic in this context refers to the compact car model produced by Honda since 1972. It is popular for being cheap and frequently modified (AKA “riced”). Civics in its alternative context is the study of the rights and obligations of citizens in society. The term relates to behavior affecting other citizens, particularly in the context of urban development.
Don’t rely on YouTube to pass money to your favorite content creators. Most have their own site (where they sell merch or have a way to donate directly to them). Your Premium subscription goes right in Google’s pocket. I’m sticking with YouTube Revanced and SmartTube.
Mostly too many false positives from shadows. Its definitely user error, as I know motion detection is completely configurable. What FOSS IP cam software do you guys run that I should commit to trying and sticking with?
I use Blue Iris for capturing IP cameras. I’ve tried ZoneMinder, iSpy, and Motion (via MotionEyeOS) but just can’t find something that works as dependably well. It could definitely be user error (and not getting the alternatives dialed in). But I always go back to Blue Iris. 😔
I only thought Civics could get riced. TIL!
You said the phrase, so I unfortunately need to share this music video. My apologies.
