Well, i’m interested in a serious answer?
This is exactly what i wanted to say :)
I have 11 sites and numerous sub sites behind a single Caddy server. I dont know how you would “overwelm” Caddy?
Never the less, good luck :)
Look here: https://caddyserver.com/docs/caddyfile/directives/php_fastcgi
I’m not near a computer right now, but tomorrow i can show an example of my nextcloud setup. Its also php with Caddy :)
Oh my god… i completely overlooked the config in your original message!!
Un any case, look at this: https://join-lemmy.org/docs/administration/caddy.html
Someone done the work, and they would be glad if you made use of it :)
And if you start with: lemmy.domain.tld:81 {
You can even have it run on a different port, so you can test it without risking your apache config.
I dont think its hard :)
Can you post your apache config?
Ive been so long on Caddy i havent touched Apache or nginx for ages. But i’m pretty sure i or someone else can help you convert your config :)
I’m really surprised noone mentioned Caddy which handles all the SSL business for you. Not to mention an easier config :)
I’ve been on IRC long before the stone age (so to speak) and its neither dated nor dead.
Not everyone needs the fancy audio, video and imagery that new protocols provider for. Some of us are content with just text. And for me thats the great value of IRC.
I learned something new! So thank you. I didn’t know any of this. And every once in a while i’ll watch a DT video, and i dont think they are bad. And i dont hate DT :)
Because they are so restricted ;-) since i moved my whole family onto it, i cut support time by 90%.
Only to login and see rhat they actually didn’t restart. They just said so because they think you wont find out 😂
I run KVM on Alpine Linux, then on my debian based workstation i have Virtmanager jnstalled. I can use it to connect to the Alpine KVM and easily add/edit/delete VM’s and manage them.
My favorite Server OS is Alpine Linux. Because its small, easy to use.
Ofcourse its not using the standard GLIBC system, but these days you can run almost anything in docker so thats less of a problem.
too many :) Here is a snippet of my RSS feed, save it as an xml file and most rss reeders should be able to import it :) https://pastebin.com/q0c6s5UF
All software has issued, such is the nature of software. I always say if you selfhost, at least follow some security related websites to keep up to date about these things :)
Its not hard really, and you shouldn’t be afraid to ask, if we don’t ask then we don’t learn :)
Look at Caddy webserver, it does automated SSL for you.

I must admit its been a while, but all these things where horrible last time i played with them.
