A raspberry pi with pihole running as dhcp server. In the ISP router turn off DHCP, DNS problem solved as pi will advertise its DNS to all connected devices on the network.

One can just click the reader view/mode button if you’re on Firefox and bypass paywalls and popups. Doesn’t work on all sites but works on this one.
Thanks for the heads -up.

‘To good to go’ would be helpful if you are going to live on a small budget for a while. I live near the German border and get myself German bread for cheap from Backerei Moss in Ubach for instance. You get 3 times the value. You need a freezer though. Also Indian flat bread can be made in a frying pan, without an oven.

Is there any reason you want to have two DNS servers? I would just disable the dhcp in the ISP router and let the pihole do the dhcp serving. This way your network is ad free as it get’s the pihole DNS by default. You then could set any device to the ISP router DNS manually. Just saves a lot of hassle, space, electricity and headaches when something goes wrong.
