… I’m going to start carrying foil with me.
Should be, but prototyping and making one offs is expensive, maybe even 100x the cost of mass production per unit, so they will of course be looking to do the minimal amount possible
I knew it was good for something My indicators siezed up just last week, shoulda replaced the fluid.
I’ve noticed mine is leaking, even though I torqued the drain cap exactly to spec. Maybe it needs a washer or something.
All fire needs is heat, oxygen, and fuel. You’ve got all of that there.
The exhaust gets hot enough to burn off oil when it’s idling, so I’m sure it’s hot enough to burn cardboard.
I’m not going to risk it, the tinfoil idea sounds like the goer here.
Makes me appreciate how easy oil changes were on my Ninja
Wow that sounds like a real fun time.
Exactly!
Has the bolt for your shifter fallen out yet?
fujimoto drain plug

Actually this sounds like an even better solution, I’ll let you know how it goes.
Oh fuck, it’s so simple! Thanks man, this is the correct answer.
No, you should just idle the bike until the temp gauge comes up. Should definitely not be after a long ride.
Foil is a great idea, I’ll use that next time.
Smoldering cardboard doesn’t sound like a good idea.
post it in New Communities and also it should show in Lemmy Explorer
well, yes and no. It’s definitely behind on updates, but it’s running linux and isn’t web facing. Security is outsourced to the firewalls/IDS etc. If someone is trying to hack it, they’re already past the firewalls so we’re fucked by default even if the server is 100% secure.
Just for fun I thought I’d check the uptime of the server I’m logged into at work. 1391 days.
Yeah, its real close to JSON but not.
I’m going to have to go a step deeper and find out what’s going on in the code because this section is repeated many many times. It’s not just this one that I need to parse.
… It might even be easier to write my own parser like you said, because I need to take actions based on the date fields.
