People who say PHP is shit haven’t really used it and are just repeating the memes. It’s a perfectly fine language and there are a number of excellent tools and frameworks for it. It’s reputation is a result of it’s easy entry and widespread use. A whole lot of people who knew just enough to be dangerous made a whole lot of stuff, and it ended up causing a whole lot of problems. But for some reason devs shit on the language instead of shitting on the devs who put them in a mess.

10·1 year agoMeh, whatever. Even if the fediverse were to never get any bigger, it’s still a win. This place is big enough to be stable and generate it’s own content and culture. All that matters is if you’re enjoying it here and actively trying to make it a better place.

Maybe you don’t mind doing it manually, but you can automate it too (at least until the api goes down)
For what it’s worth, I used Power Suite Delete to replace everything in my 14 year account with a deleted message, haven’t seen anything get reverted yet.
