Meh every generation has its quirks. My college class in 2000 spent 1 whole week going over the Windows Start menu…

Same here, Baikal user for about a year, no hiccups so far, works great across my devices.
And you’ll be needing that medicine to be able to cope.
Anyone liking this new format?
It seems to me I was more engaged and found more new cool stuff before the layout overhaul. Could just be me, or could be some slow weeks in the self-hosting world, hard to tell.
Same. I’m hoping for the teacher shortage to increase, I might make the switch if the barriers come down. I’d love to teach children to code, I have fond memories of my IT teacher back in the day. His lessons on TurboPascal taught me a lot.
Imagine being born 10,000 years ago where all your work for sustenance would fit in 4 hours weekly…

People forget that the current antitrust actions against Big Tech were started under the first Trump admin.

I never knew we backed up this world. Can we revert to a snapshot from the nineties please?
myrmidex@slrpnk.netto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Which non-US domain registrar to use?English2·3 months agoWow nice catch. I assumed they were local due to the low prices.
myrmidex@slrpnk.netto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Which non-US domain registrar to use?English121·3 months agoKeep an eye on the price. I recently switched my .be domains from Gandi to Dynadot. 36 vs 6.8 euros per year, I had no idea such a difference was possible. Fuck Gandi.

I’m now running Audiobookshelf for all my audiobooks, radio shows and podcasts. Together with the Lissen app on Android, it works very nicely!

Thanks for the tip, I’m getting pissed off at the Gandi .be prices as well, just ludicrous.
I ended up on Readeck as well, very sleek interface, perfect for sharing articles via public links, self-hosting it was very easy to set up.
