Surprisingly, haven’t seen that with FreeTube
But I use my mobile client much more than FreeTube on my PC…
Hopefully we can still find a way around
Although, maybe it’s time to sever the ties and just move to PeerTube - which would mean, that the will need to also produce some content
Since some weeks I’m also getting an error in NewPipe/PipePipe, that my IP is temporarily blocked at YouTube - although I usually can just immediately resume and only get the error in the middle of the video like once or twice
Anyone else - and especially maybe with a solution?
Tried their demo on mobile.
Is the highlighter for everyone just working, when you start in a non-text area?
If I try to mark just one word in the text, it does nothing. If I start in a non-text area, I can move over the text afterwards.
But highlighting single words or text parts is pretty much the use case for a highlighter.
Maybe it’s just my Firefox on android…
I don’t know, if I have enough Daniel Abrahams for the job :-(
Yeah, error reports seem to be some esoteric concept for some people…
I’m obviously doing the IT stuff for my family (although in the last years, I got out by saying, I’m doing Linux exclusively). So once I got a hysterical call, that the laptop is dead and nothing is working anymore.
So stupid me rushed over, just to find out that they just couldn’t receive emails, because their provider had a problem.
In my book, if a laptop is dead, there isn’t anything on the screen anymore - best case some BIOS stuff is happening.
I started to switch people over to Linux, at least the next generation and my near surroundings, and decline now most things on windows (or smartphones), because I officially haven’t worked with those operating systems since years, and all I do is just searching around and reading things, they could’ve done themselves, if they wouldn’t be too lazy to read.
I’m all open for people who are lost and need help, but then they mustn’t treat me like a fucking employee. I’m here to help you to solve your problems next time yourself, else my work here has no point.
Looking at the error reports and the user input logs, a rabbit couldn’t do worse…
rsync?
Yeah, can recommend that one too Although it sometimes seems to have some performance problems with a large amount of files - could be, that it’s already fixed though
Yeah, I’m with you, fuck Oracle - and not just for their DB
I completely get all that, but looking at the typical user base that uses mainstream social media platforms, like TikTok, I don’t see them being knowledgeable about some china centered alternative app
I just don’t see, how so many would switch to that, as most of them wouldn’t have known about it a week ago.
Was it promoted on TikTok?
Personally I still don’t believe that a completely unknown app was suddenly getting new members in the means of some grassroots protest.
Maybe it is more (or gotten) more known through TikTok and that’s why it was basically unknown for me.
Still, I think this is artificially hyped as a reaction to a potential TikTok ban and not some organic growth - even taking into account people switching in protest
I think, I’ve heard about this app like once in the last years. And, not wanting to sound self centered, but as a software dev and quite interested in anything internet, I find this development rather strange.
Was “little red book” promoted on TikTok or how did so many people, who are usually just consumers of feeds, suddenly heard of that new app?
Especially, when I have a really hard time to have them install a new app, like Signal, in other cases.
Ok, this wasn’t really a good answer to your comment, sorry. You’re right, that the TikTok feed just builds individual bubbles, so right wingers will get more right wing info and the other way round.
But the sudden switch to a practically unknown app just… seems fishy
Isn’t it already a right wing propaganda machine?
Hey, don’t you curse on my bread and butter! ;-)
The compiler optimization example (IIRC #6) was unexpected, when just looking at the code
Upvote for Tuxedo!
After like 2 or 3 years with my Pulse 15 the battery started to pillow. They sent my a replacement for free.
Now I’m having a Framework 16 and didn’t use my Pulse 15, so I gave it to my nephew. But I saw that the CMOS battery was dead. Wrote them a mail and they are now sending my a replacement battery for free.
All in all, great company
That one actually sounds pretty good!
I need to try it, thanks!
Edit: although I was more going in the direction of wormwood/absinthe with vodka - although I’ve tried that mix and it tastes like…I don’t remember
One of those things I desperately want, no, need!, but never really know, what I actually would do with it…
Still, this thing seems too cool to not get - and at that price, not much is lost
Doing pretty much exactly the same thing, to not wear the battery down
As far as I know having them permanently on 100% is bad
Interpreted it the same, but I’m coming from C++
