I started using the webos port of kodi + jellyfin addon. It was surprisingly easy to install and doesn’t require rooting. Kodi plays all the DV profiles I’ve tried. Only issue was a slight audio delay, but once I dialed that in it has worked flawlessly ever since.

The official JF apps do struggle a bit with subs, but 3rd party clients have solved that issue for me completely. I use kodi and wholphin on android tv and findroid on my phone.
