Is their a reason why you want to run cifs? I would run NFS3, it’s much faster plus smb /cifs is more for file share between windows and Linux.

This is a great article , and actually rather use swap than no swap. My systems run so much better with swap.
This is why ceiling and floor was invented.
Cause statically linked libs can be very large. I agree though , rather have statically linked then dynamic.
Even worse when you look at a class that’s over 1k long.
