The one machine I had that ran Millennium Edition was a Sony laptop that came out right after it launched. Since it was the oem install, ig it survived for some time. My dad used it for Oracle DB work before I got it and used as a computer that could access the internet. I’ve only had one bsod with it. But realplayer deleted all my VXD files.
You actually have to exit the setup menu(f2 iirc), run a specific command, and then it will let you make an offline account.
If you don’t have a NIC, it will make you get an internet connection before proceeding. That was my experience on my laptop. What had happened was that for whatever reason, my wifi card wouldn’t work with the amd motherboard in my laptop (it wasn’t cnvio, and it was the same issue with ac 7265 and an ax210). So I had to resort to that to install windows.
ME wasn’t that bad. I think I just got lucky in terms of stability?

I’ve been only doing cad for about 10 years so my knowledge is somewhat limited. I was talking about parametrics specifically. I should have made that clear
a big piece of paper and some cool stickers is all you need. It’s more impressive when it’s tangible.
If you’re worried about stealing, put it a bit higher out of their reach and take photos of it after all the stickers are placed to keep track.
There was a way to do it on older Android phones with a specific Mac address changer but it broke after android 6 got released.

Ssds are super cheap nowadays. It’s a 2.5 in SATA drive and you can get ssds in that form factor.

Probably a lot better than that 2014 amd laptop. I had one. It had an amd A6 1450 apu (tbf it ran at 1 ghz) and that cpu was so slow, even on windows 7. A small ssd will help a decent bit.
That spinning rust drive isn’t great in terms of performance. Also is it a Toshiba drive by any chance. I went through 1 of the 320 gb drives and 2 of the Toshiba 440 gb drives of that same era. It was a school laptop but I did try to take care of it. Those drives apparently have a not great failure rate.
My b350 board supported that style of speaker. Newer machines apparently use the start button led in some cases.
