Sounds like someone is in some financial trouble with TSLA dropping.
This is the biggest thing stopping me from donating to Firefox, or Mozilla in general. CEO salary should not be that high for basically a not-for-profit.
I will donate to Wikipedia, signal, KDE, or other projects that I’m passionate about. But it definitely leaves a sour taste if you hear that the money is not well spent.
Move fast and break things tends to create broken systems.
Had Jellyseer break on me again on Truenas scale, something about a jellyfin API blah blah blah. Decided that Sonarr and Radarr are fine enough to interface with that I don’t need it and deleted the image.
It’s the only thing the people in that sub necessarily have in common, and is the theme of the sub. Very very pointless.
I think it’s more likely that they paywall some of the NSFW subs than try to make more subs like r/lounge.
I think because it is clearly the platform with the most useful content hosted on there. People complain about YouTube, but I think it and Wikipedia stand as the most valuable websites on the net for me.
No dramas!
I think I just wanted to mention arrested development lol. It being a smart, well-written show about very dumb people
Ah true I haven’t heard of him! Love to hear about autodidact geniuses.
I did a physics degree and am comfortable with Joules, but in the context of electricity bills, kWh makes more sense.
All appliances are advertised in terms of their Watt power draw, so estimating their daily impact on my bill is as simple as multiplying their kW draw by the number of hours in a day I expect to run the thing (multiplied by the cost per kWh by the utility company of course).
I was really confused by that and that the decided units weren’t just in W (0.1 kW is pretty weird even)
Thank the gods for these Indian men. They’ve saved me countless times with their simple solutions to incredibly specific problems.
At what price point would this device be useful? Seems like the sort of device that was made to allow the company to be bought by Google/Microsoft/Meta.
Have got two of my family members onto bitwarden and even that is a lot for the tech-illiterate. Couldn’t imagine Keepass+syncthing.
Ultimately, bitwarden is better than using hunter12 for everything like how they were.
Just to add to the noise… I’m shocked that Obsidian is not the number one app that people are talking about. Didn’t even know there were so many other great options, to be honest.
Edit: it’s because it’s not open source. The plugins all have to be open source, and it is free as in beer. I’m keeping this comment up.
I can’t help but feel that Web 3.0 will accelerate climate change. That said, I know nothing about it except that crypto people are excited about it, which means that money can probably be made from it.
Waiting for the inevitable April Fools realisation.
