I’ve also found it very helpful with configuration files. It tells me how someone familiar with the tool would expect it to work. I’ve found it’s rarely right, but it can get me to something reasonable and then I can drill into why it doesn’t work.
Unfortunately they’re aware of the possibility and aren’t willing to risk that.
I’m not sure they’re walking into the trap so much as leading us into the trap. Canonical has not traditionally been super pro copy left.
worth exactly a much as you paid for it.
It’s mostly right, though. Except that a platform often comes with best practices that can be easier to follow for things that need to be updated quickly, like security.
There’s little reason to think you’ll need to. Most anything you’ll want to do you can use Linux native apps
35 snaps installed and the only real pain is with the 2 web browsers.
The only places I’ve felt the pain were firefox, chrome, and eclipse. I’ll check later to see what snaps are installed but the sandbox is mostly not noticed. The main issue is that the app with this biggest attack surface (Firefox) is also the one I explicitly want to access my whole system.
Chrome I only installed because ff didn’t work, but it was no better.
Idk, I thought we were pretty far from the current level of conversation.
That looks awesome. Can’t do it now but I’m trying it Monday
Any ides have support for this? I feel like I’ve been waiting forever.
Your ide should align things how you configure them to be aligned. Nothing says all my tabs need to be the same length.
What does the one liner do?
These look a bit unwieldy, but I’ve wanted little extensions to the stream api often enough that I can see them getting a lot of use through the built in gatherers class at least.
I can’t count on one hand the number of times I’ve needed to write hashcode/equals in the last week. It’s easy to do and records would make it harder to get wrong.
Do they have a non snap browser yet?
