Doesn’t it feel completely different to participate in a local community vs a federated community? Its so interesting how that works even if everyone can see everything everywhere.

3·2 years agoI have it installed as well but as a dark theme user the flashing transitions was starting to get a little annoying.
That is pretty cool. I’m just figuring out how this all works so seeing 2 platforms melding into one comment thread is still like magic to me.
Fellow boost user! Would be great if he made a version of Boost for Lemmy, I’m just so used to that UI.

What kind of hardware you got going for the Ubuntu server? I’m doing something similar on an old HP ProLiant and looking to upgrade.
7·2 years agoThe client requested carrots but after delivery tells you they actually meant zucchini. You think it is strange to put zucchinis in a salad but still meticulously go through their dish and replace all carrots with zucchinis. Upon delivery they ask why it tastes weird and you realize they meant cucumber not zucchini and they got the two confused.
Ahh ok. I still get mine through T-mobile so I have no idea how much I pay they just roll it into my bill.
Wasn’t it more like $3?
