I’ll never pay. I’ve spent so much money of failed Google products at this point they owe me YT premium for life. If they make bypassing ads impossible I’ll just stop watching.

I swear I will just stick with paperback books for all entertainment if they continue to further infect my current forms of entertainment. Lets seem them try to insert an unskippable ad into a paperback book.

We shoud have a right to not have commercials shoved down our eye and ear holes. If they could, they would force it down our throats and noses too.

I swear I’m about done with YT. The ads are long, overabundant, irrelevant, and timed specifically to fuck with people in the middle of specific segments of content. I mean, I keep getting ads for Oppenheimer for the past four days. I already own Oppenheimer - and Google knows this. My Google account is linked to my MoviesAnywhere account, they have this information. What is the point of “targeted” advertisements if they net the advertiser zero value? Is Google just messing with users trying to block their ads at this point?

Just be the “business person” and find a dev to do the “easy” work, like every other person I’ve heard from when they present an app idea to me.

Back to the days of using a different web browser for each website. I remember the acid test, IE 5.5, etc. Not fun as a user or web developer.

I agree with you. I personally don’t want ChatGPT on my OS either. I just also don’t want it on all of my apps too.

That’s what I’m using now. I think Arc does a better job of organizing containers and tabs, but it’s not worth the privacy/advertisement issues that come along with Chromium.

It seems like every app is trying to force integration of a version of ChatGPT. It would make way more sense if the OS just had their “assistant” use AI, and just let it recognize the app your using and help out if needed. No need for an AI integration with every app.

I tried it for a bit, even daily drove it on my laptop for a while. It has a pretty slick interface, and uses containers so you could, for example, have one container that you are logged into your google account for (say, Youtube), and the rest of your containers you can not log into Google.

The downside is that 1) It’s still not mature as of a month ago. They are making massive changes and adding new features constantly, and 2) It’s still Chromium, so all of the downsides of that are still present.

If they switch to using Firefox or another open-source foundation, I’d be all over it.

Didn’t Twitter almost take him to court if he didn’t follow through with the purchase? I think he got caught in his over investment in Twitter last year, and rather than go through a trial with discovery (I think he NEEDED to follow through to avoid this specifically), he decided to go through with the purchase. I wonder what the hell they would have found during a trial discovery that made him sink $44B.

But what he’s doing now? I don’t think it’s related to that. I think it might be to help manipulate stocks, as we have seen him do several months back. Maybe he thinks that destroying left-leaning political action saves him in taxes? He destroyed public transportation in California just so people would theoretically purchase more Tesla cars. Nothing is beyond being trampled by Musk if he thinks he can benefit by stumbling over the other side of the corpse.

That’s terrifying and needs regulation immediately.

Reddit’s newest users use it like Tiktok, thus pushing short videos to the front page all the time. It will become a Tiktok clone within the next six months. Mark my words.
