It’s not really inevitable, it’s just a consequence that develops can get away with being lazy because the hardware can cope with it.
And then youll only need a near 16gb of ram to text a text file.
This is the reason I ended up hating my old open source projects. It’s not enough you give people something for free some people just always demand more.
But awesome work with lemmy hopefully working on it doesn’t wear you down too much and you get some enjoyment from it still.
Back when Reddit was smaller it’s was pretty good, for the last 5 or so years it’s become too big so all the default subs are just Facebook memes and boomer humour.
