Your original post referred to wanting to hire people based on the tools they use to do a task, not their ability to do the task - in fact, you talked down to people for using certain tools by calling them elitist. That’s why my pen/pencil comparison is accurate.

The irony isn’t lost on me, but it’s not always. It’s just a good way to handle attention seeking people that you don’t want to seek attention anymore.

If someone brings a toy to class, it’s wild to me to say that if the whole class likes it enough, they must donate their toy. If you love it, go make your own - hell, just copy it exactly as it is and make adjustments from there.

What don’t you like about graphql error handling? Whenever I’ve made a graphql api, I use the default errors as unhandled/system errors and payloads return handled error types.

It’s a bit more boilerplate to wire up, but I find it smooth to build and use
