Is meth bad? Would a company that specifically targets meth sales to the most likely drug using demographics be bad? Would a company that sold meth in shiny, futuristic containers that said “Lucky Dreams!” be bad?

I use linux at home but manage windows and linux at work so I’m pretty much stuck with having to deal with MS bullshit for life.

As much as I’d love to work in a linux-only environment they don’t really exist in my area so I’d have to move or take a remote job that’s radically different from what I’m accustomed to. And despite the MS annoyances I like my position a lot so I’m satisfied with fussing about MS online.

That said pretty pissed about the last 3 months of patch tuesday fuckery. KB5037765 ruined my week.

Yay another feature I have to figure out how to disable.

I’m in the early stages of this myself and haven’t actually run an LLM locally but the term that steered me in the right direction for what I was trying to do was ‘RAG’ Retrieval-Augmented Generation.

For me just the convenience of having everything in one box. Simplifies networking too. I run home assistant, openwrt, OMV, an ubuntu dtop VM and a wordpress LXC on a little m93 I jacked up with 32Gb RAM. Backups are dead simple and it’s all on one little UPS.

Some might prefer metal for other reasons but simplicity and convenience are priorities for me, at least in my homelab.

I’ve had a little OMV VM running on Proxmox for about 4 years with no issues at all.

Buy an actual NAS instead of a rats nest of USB hub and drives. But now it works so I’m too lazy and cheap to migrate it off.
