Any non-paywall links?
I thought you were kidding
Thanks! Just tried it and it works perfectly. But, reddit didn’t feel the same anymore I can’t place my finger on why that is the case.
The content seems to have changed in the past month or so. I see better content on lemmy, at least stuff that I’m interested in.
Scrolling through my feed on Baconreader now felt like Facebook for some reason. Maybe some of my subs are still private, I don’t know, but things have definitely changed.
Immich! I’ve been using it for a while and it’s amazing
Yes! I thought it was just me. It’s crazy, I’ve missed so many reminders after moving over to Tasks
+1 I’m curious too
I’m also looking for the same. Everything I’ve found so far is photos-first. I’ve tried Plex, Jellyfin, Emby, PhotoPrism and Immich for videos, but no solution is perfect.
Is it subscription based? Or a one time payment to unlock pro?
That was a very interesting read. Thank you for sharing
That’s a pretty good benchmark. Thank you!
Same here, and I agree with you. I think this whole reddit fiasco will cause enough migration to sustain Lemmy and lead to organic growth over time. And I think this is best for Lemmy in the long term.
Wow, lifetime subscriptions, really? As in pay once and use forever? That sounds too good to be true. Any recommendations?
Freakin’ A! This is amazing, thank you!
Yup this is massive and it’s not a niche subreddit. That means, most likely, more will follow. Sure, reddit will probably force it back online with new mods or whatever, but THIS is how you make a statement. Hat’s off r/videos!
Welcome! I’ve been here for a few days now and this reminds me of the reddit of old. You’ll love it!
Remember Streetlamp LeMoose? There haven’t been any such memorable events on reddit in recent years. What about the ol’ switcheroo? You don’t see that anymore.
They are indeed as you said, forgotten history to modern redditors. Back in the day, it was a closer community, and these events were discussed for days and referenced for months if not years.
Like you said, reddit has been consistently losing it’s community aspect. I’m glad to have experienced it, but I think it’s time to move on.
Finally! Goodbye Portainer!
