I think that’s been the law everywhere I’ve lived, too, but not always followed…

I’ve seen landlords put these things on doors, too, and use them to allow entrance to anyone they think has a reason to be inside, whether the resident knows and consents or not.

I was watching a friend’s dogs while she was on vacation when the batteries in her door lock died. I had to climb in a back window to get inside and feed them. Luckily, there was a back door with a dumb lock, but I had to get inside first and borrow her keys for that to help.

With Ollama, all you have do is copy an extra folder of ROCm files. Not hard at all.

What I’m thinking about is more that in Linux, it’s common to access URLs directly from the terminal for various purposes, instead of using a browser.

So if you try to access a website using this technology via terminal, what happens? The connection fails?

This is a frequent source of frustration for me, too. Can’t even tell if it’s cli or gui a lot of the time, based on the documentation. If I could just see what it looks like, I’d have a good idea right away of whether it might meet my needs.

My hate comes from wanting it to work like LView Pro. There’s no Linux image manipulation program that comes close to meeting the standard they set in 2001.
