I’m a programmer myself but my wife isn’t a programmer, that was my motivation for questioning.

Can programmers only be with other programmers or am I missing something?

Even with autofilling it on iOS, macOS you still have developers that need to fuck with form fields using JavaScript because they think they’re smarter than you.

I haven’t used Windows in like 20 years but it’s funny they still haven’t gotten around to fixing percentages. I remember stuff like this from the Windows XP days.

I’ve never seen that before. Finder is usually smart enough to close any of its windows showing its files/folders before unmounting.

And that removable object’s filesystem is probably the most shit, unjournalled filesystem in the world so you’re actually fucked if it becomes corrupted by removing it early.

This is such a Windows way of thinking. Why does every other OS constantly change and evolve but Windows is like “can’t touch this code from a quarter century ago?”

If it’s cable internet you might just be constrained by the available upload speed. I tend to put my media in Storj then run a VPS somewhere between all the clients that serves the media via WebDAV with rclone. This gets around the slow upload speed of cable internet at home, and I can cache the remote content on my NAS at home too.

Fuck .bmp would be hilarious to get working (as part of a website) as a web developer.
