I thought the “get back to free speech” crap just meant they ditch the fact checker, now that the orange overlord is back in charge of clown county. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/meta-facebook-instagram-fact-checking-mark-zuckerberg/

I’m consistently below 30 GB, unless you include local traffic from my fileserver to endpoints (98% movies that I stream locally via. VLC over smb). And even then I usually don’t exceed 1 TB.
Who exactly is “everyone”? I don’t really see much of it.
According to the article, that so called university is teaching about healthy living, exercise, and how to make and handle money. On a surface level, that sounds pretty alright.
Up until now when I researched the guy, I had no idea who he was and what ideals he represents. So I could see how unsuspecting people sign up for that stuff without any ill intent.
Yeah that “AI” was probably quoting some edgelord from reddit.
I don’t think so, no.
The OP is talking about the UK though.
How about pushbullet? It’s not self-hosted though, but syncs nicely between different phones and browser plugin. File transfer etc. works well, the search is rudimentary.
Honestly I’m not sure about offline support though, I haven’t really been in a situation where I wanted to take a note/message myself without internet connection.
The tax income of the government is a percentage of the GDP, and taxes are in the end where money for investments into infrastructure and other stuff comes from.
If investments must be done regardless, it means the government has to borrow money and pay it back plus interest in the future, which again is paid for with tax money.
So if the GDP sinks, future tax income must increase to balance it - either through an increase in GDP down the road, or through higher taxes.
A reduction in GDP also means that either local consumers aren’t buying as much, or exports are shrinking, both of which are negative indicators for the local labour market and lead to layoffs.
Have a look at gullo.me, their entry level vps was just $2 or something.
Edit: https://hosting.gullo.me/pricing (apparently the cheapest is $3.5 - annually)
Yeah Douyin is pushing educational content and is very fast to censor harmful stuff. Still full of garbage and racism though, just the sanctioned kind against people the government doesn’t like.
If I were an exec at Google, I’d have already made a move to buy out a small country. Tuvalu, Nauru or something with a minuscule GDP. Then proclaim the Google Republic, move HQ functions over, and be free of taxes and outside influences forever.
And being their own country, they could even have a full fledged military…
I think the lite versions don’t allow scripted blocking, only static or something. So a whole lot of the adaptive blocks for persistent ads you encounter on facebook, instagram and other shitty socials that behave like viruses will be hard to impossible to kill.
I’m glad I never had to deal with that as I have never used Chrome on desktop, but I’m pretty sure there will be many folks out there who don’t know how to switch.
You absolutely can mix and match RAM sticks, as long as their specs are the same. It’s not necessarily recommended as there might be compatibility issues, but usually ends up working just fine.
It’s a company, whatever you do needs to conform to the terms and conditions you accepted (without reading). So yeah, they can ban you if they feel like it.
Hmmmm und jetzt seh ich nix mehr. Sehr komisch. Vielleicht läuft da im Backend noch nicht alles ganz rund, ich mach nochmal.
Also bei mir sieht alles gut aus. Hab das auch mit dem feddit.org account angenommen…
Willkommen an Bord :-)
Gönn dir. Dann lass mal einen Kommentar unter dem welcome Post da bitte, dann kann ich dich adden :-)
Some old netbook I guess, or unsupported hardware and a driver default. If all you need is ssh, the display resolution hardly matters.
