It's harder than before to tell what’s real and what’s fake, but if you look closely there are often tell-tale signs.

    This problem has become more prevalent with AI, but deceptive item listings have been part of the online shopping minefield for a long time.

    The same rule applies now as it always has - if it seems too good to be true, then it is.

    Some of this is „how to spot AI slop” so most here will be familiar but there are also some more clever examples. Might be worth sharing with older friends and relatives. And Gen Z.
